Hi,

I am back again and today I want to introduce a blog that is linked to my blog.

All you have to do to be featured in a post like this is to follow this link:

https://goo.gl/forms/LJ8SZCeQlHwR13Ak1

I shall also be doing a full post on how to get to to the from next week so keep tuned!!

The lovely Kirsty asked me to link her to my blog and to write a blog post about her blog so here it is…

I think I had read Kirsty’s blog a couple of times and if I am being completely honest, I couldn’t remember much about it. When I clicked on the link to her blog, I instantly feel in love with it. I think she has an excellent blog and it is very well presented. What I love about her home page is that  she has little sections (forgot what they are called) at the top so if you wanting to read about something specifically, you can find it. I love how she kept her name art(again I forgot what it is called) relevant to the upcoming holiday. I find that pumpkin really cute. I love how you can have quick access to her 3 recent post. Her photography looks amazing.

I really do love this post. What I love about Kirsty’s blog is how she sets everything out. I love how she photographs the product. Her blog post is really lengthy so you get a good insight into how the products works.

TOP 10 THINGS £10 AND UNDER!?!?

made with ‘Thumbnail Maker’

Cosmopolitan

I must say ever since May I have been purchasing this magazine. It is honestly such a great price for a great read. I mean at £1 it is one of the best on the market. I can remember as a younger child, magazines were a huge treat and I very rarely got them as some of the cheapest retailed around £4.99. I know that may not sound a lot to some of you out there but I had no money to purchase my own as I have never receive pocket money and with some kids magazine came out weekly. I didn’t want to burden my parents with the task of buying the latest magazine. Don’t get me wrong I did get treats in my childhood I just chose to get magazine 2/3 times a year. However, as I have grown up and I believe I have certainly grown up over this past year (especially as I was in Year 9). I developed an interest in fashion and makeup. I decided to look at the magazine stand. That’s when cosmopolitan came to my attention. I picked to my first edition and since then I am hooked. Their recent edition gave a free sample of an moisturiser which honestly has helped my skin leaps and bounds.

Sharpies

Now who doesn’t love sharpies? I use them 100% at home when it comes to revision. However, unlike majority of my stationary I don’t take them to school. Now you might brand me as selfish but I hate school in terms of stationary. There’s always that group of kids that start off their school year with the bare essentials and charm their way to use your stationary. Now I do let them borrow my stuff because realistically I don’t say no because I can’t but it really annoys me how my dad works to provide that money for me to buy that stationary but they’re getting more use. Err this is turning into a rant. Anyway, I simply just love sharpies and I definitely love the colour range of sharpies.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

This brush is an absolute god send. You know them times when you start your makeup but then remember you have not wet your beauty bender and you have to make your way to the bathroom looking like a warrior? Well this helps to not embarrass you in front of your family. This brush is designed to blend in liquid products AND what’s more you don’t have to wet  it before every use. BONUS! I love this for blending in my concealer. It works just as much with foundation but I’m currently going through a phase where I’m not wearing foundation. I think this is a good brush to choose if you have never tried REAL TECHNIQUES BRUSHES.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer Fair 1

Well you didn’t think I was going to mention how well the brush blends in the concealer and not talk about the concealer I use. I absolutely love this concealer. I think I actually wrote about it in another post below. If I can find it, I will link it so you can give it a read.

COLLECTION REVIEW : 19/2/17

Academic Diary

It is an essential for me to have a diary. As you may already know, this year I am going into Year 10 and I want to get organised. I had a diary last year only sometimes used it. This is a must this year so that I can keep on top of homework and important dates. I am determined to use my diary to the fullest this year so I can keep my life organised. I actually can’t find the one I brought but its basically an A5 blue diary. Its very plain but I quite like it.

Notebook

I must say I definitely over do with buying notebooks in the past and I never had a clue what to do with them but I limited myself to buying one which is a really cute black notebook (A5) with a light bulb on the front. I aim to use it as a more detailed homework planner and to create to do list and things like that in. Hopefully, I stick to it but if I don’t, it still looks cute on my desk.

Twitter

I know.. Some of you are thinking this is free and I know that I am technically cheating but I never specified I just say £10 and under and £0 is definitely under £10. 😉  (Right note to self… NEVER EVER do a winky face again)  I love twitter as it is a way to connect to everybody. Before blogging, I had a personal account but I never ever used it but now the first thing I do in the morning is to check Twitter for the latest blogger drama or blog posts.

Hot Chocolate + A Blanket

This is a combo that can not be beaten. Name a more iconic duo. I dare you. 🙂 It gives a cosy feeling to an evening. It probably the best way to the end the day. Nothing is better than watching tv in the cosy feeling. This is the best in Winter so as you can guess I love Winter. I am a winter baby after all.

VS Spray

This is an essential for school. It is a great body mist. It has a good pigmented smell and it blocks out the horrible smells around you like BO and ‘BOYS’.I spray the mist in the morning and I can smell it throughout the day and its good to smell when you walk into a classroom where a boy’s sprayed a very strong spray where you nearly choke on the air.

That’s it for today’s post. I hope you had fun reading my collab over this past month.

Love,

BACK TO BLAIR: HOW TO SURVIVE THE SCHOOL YEAR?!?!

Hi guys,

Every Saturday of September, I will be posting a post in collab with Waldorf Dreams. I love collaborating with Waldorf Dreams because she is an amazing blogger and she obviously loves GG. The series will be called Back to Blair so keep your eyes out. It’s our version of ‘BACK TO SCHOOL’. Obviously, she came up with it. Anyway let’s get into the last post…

I think I might do this in a top 10 list form.

  1. Stay organised
  2. Keep calm
  3. Do your homework
  4. Do your work
  5. Keep your environment tidy.
  6. Make them revision cards/notes
  7.  Don’t delay
  8. Aim towards your goals
  9. Do your hobbies.
  10. Finally relax

In order to relax and get that end goal, you need to keep going over them important notes in class and if it helps, make revision stuff. Even if you don’t use them in that year, your future self will thank you. Make sure you do take that time out to do something you love. For me that is Netflix and sleep but whatever floats your goat. Keep your space (bedroom) tidy. I love being able to do my work when no mess is trying to creep onto my work but I suppose that is personal preference. I also have a little vanity where I do my work. I feel like I can have that one part of my room to do my work and then I can go and lounge around on my bed doing things I love (blogging).

Also massive massive shout out to the wonderful @waldorfdreams who made this massive collab project happen. So so thankful that she reached out to me so that we could do this together. It was such a lovely thing to blog about for a whole month. Maybe this could re-occur next year for a 2018 edition 🙂 . Everybody go check her out because her blog is ‘aesthetically pleasing’ . I will leave her links below of course.

Finally I have a ‘Who to follow page?!?!’ which can be seen at the bar on my home page.

The benefits:

  • Your blog will be advertised to 77+ followers.
  • You can have your blog linked to any of my posts. (Must email me about this one.)
  • I can do a blog post on you and your blog. (Again must email me about this)
  • It’s completely FREE!

What do I do you may ask?

Just complete this SHORT questionnaire and I shall add you and email when your on the page.

BACK TO BLAIR: WHAT’S IN BAG?

Anyway let’s get into the fourth post…

FOOD

This has got to be the most important thing in your bag, right? I know the large mass of people buy food at school but can you really see me lining up in them long? After 2 hours waiting for food, I love(and deserve) to eat straight away.

2 PLASTIC FOLDERS

I always take plastic folders with them little poppers to fasten them. I have absolutely have no clue what they are called. I keep one in my bag to store my planner, books and my copy of the GCSE text (Romeo and Juliet). I think they are so useful for keeping your books organised and separate from extra resources and when it rains, they are protected. There is nothing in the world I hate more than have crinkled water logged books at the start of the year. They get completely destroyed. I hate it even more when it is my planner as I used that all year long and with books you can at least get another one when full. I learnt my lesson from Year 9 when all my books were damaged from heavy rain while I was waiting for the bus.

PENCIL CASE

Is there any need to explain? I hate it when I have the bare essential for school. I love making my work nice and colourful and really presentable. A pencil case carries all my fine liners, highlighters etc.

PLANNER

My planner is my life basically. I’m talking about the one schools provide you. I don’t take my own personal one. I’m actually using my planner more efficiently this year. I highlight homework task pink, notices/form stuff yellow and upcoming tests blue.

SPRAY

I always take my spray. As simple as it sound it makes me smell nice as I quickly spray me(cough.and.others.cough).

CALCULATOR

I keep my calculator separate as it wont fit in my pencil case but it’s not need in every lesson. Its mainly easier to get it out when I need it.

I know I am keeping this short and I am thankful to anyone who has the patience to read these. I would like to say thank you if you are reading this as you are part of my amazing journey with blogging. If you have stuck around since you followed, you deserve a medal thank you. I’m also going to put the number of followers I had when I posted it to reflect back on in the future. I’m loving this experience and I am grateful for making it this far.

Finally I have a ‘Who to follow page?!?!’ which can be seen at the bar on my home page.

Its also the 19th September 2017 when I’m writing this so you know what that means 10 years since the first GG epsiode aired. I only recently joined the fandom and I’m only 3 seasons in but I feel a part of this important date (probably not to some people out there).

Bye! 🙂

BACK TO BLAIR: 10 YEARS SINCE GG BEGAN?!?!

Hi guys,

Every Saturday (or Sunday as I’m late at uploading) of September, I will be posting a post in collab with Waldorf Dreams. I love collaborating with Waldorf Dreams because she is an amazing blogger and she obviously loves GG. The series will be called Back to Blair so keep your eyes out. It’s our version of ‘BACK TO SCHOOL’. Obviously, she came up with it. Anyway let’s get into the third post…

To start off, Can I just say can we give a shout out to Gossip Girl as on Tuesday it will be 10 years since it began? Now you might not call me a true Gossip Girl because I hadn’t started Gossip Girl till about MAY 2017 ( I think thats when I got Netfilx). Anyway when this post goes up, I am currently on Season 3 so half way point of Gossip Girl and I must say I love it and even though I have not watched it all when it will be 10 years (and I am deeply sad that I can’t look back on all the memories of the 6 seasons) I will say after watching 2 full seasons Gossip Girl has certainly brought much entertainment in the couple of months I have been watching it.

Ships

I don’t know what your opinions of Gossip Girl are but my main ships are Blair and Chuck(obvs), Serena and Dan and Nate and Vanessa. They are my opinions that have been formulated over the 3 seasons and obviously I don’t have another 3 seasons to justify them like some people out there.

My favourite scene

This would have to be the in the last episode of Season 2 when Chuck and Blair were stood talking and she was jealous of him travelling to Europe but in fact, he went all to them countries to get her some of her favourite products.

Favourite character

My favourite characters would have to be both Blair and Chuck because their is never a dull moment in their lives/relationship

Favourite parent

I would have to say that Rufus Humphreys is my favourite parent.  He make not make the best decisions sometimes but he love his children very dearly and for some reason, if their had to be a parenty scene I would want him to be in it.

That’s it for today. I know it isn’t long but I’m trying to ease myself back into blogging as I have not wrote a blog post in ages. All my others were pre-wrote.

‘You know you love me’,

XOXO GG

BACK TO BLAIR: HOW I KEEP ORGANISED AT HOME?!?!

Anyway let’s get into the second post…

Her Link: waldorf-dreams.com

I think it is so important to keep organised at home. I think Blair Waldorf would love this post. Blair always has a goal and pursues it and she creates a plan for success. If you have a certain goal, you create a plan to keep yourself organised.

First thing first is that to keep organised you need a diary. I didn’t choose anything fancy. I choose a plain blue one. I keep any important dates in this and homework tasks. I know school gives you one but I find it like a rough one. It isn’t kept in pristine condition from the paper being ripped from being in my school bag or being thrown in my bag last minute. I normally doodle in it because we aren’t allowed to do that in our school books. I just find having a separate diary makes me more organised and I use my own diary a lot more.

I always keep a notebook next to me as this is good to get some extra details down. I can put the homework task and anything I need to do related to it that can’t fit in my diary. Things like: go on the internet and research … or write this up on the laptop. I also keep a to do list pad alongside this to aspires me to be more organised as I get down what I need to do and then I know after I have completed what’s on the list I can go and relax. If you don’t have an extra to do list, then you can create a list in your book or on a piece of paper.

For me, I like my own little space to do school stuff but I create a space where I love to come. I have a vanity space and I have beauty related stuff on one side and stationary on the other side. I have one organiser full of a spray, tissues and a couple of makeup bits and one organiser full of stationary. I do this to create a multi- purpose space. You want to make it enjoyable to be at so you got there frequently. I draped fairy lights to be extra of course but that is completely optional. I use fairy lights to create a cosy atmosphere. It’s a good idea to keep the amount of stuff on your desk minimal because if you’re like me, you can get very easily distracted.

I find it hard to stay and do my work and things like that. For me, I try to make excuses like I need a drink or Eastenders is on. But this year, I am trying to concentrate a lot more. I currently have a 1.5 litre plastic bottle so once I have the drank the content, I shall re-use it and store water in so that can’t be a reason to move. I will also switch my TV off and hide any technology till after I have done my tasks.

This may not seem a lot but I guarantee if you put one of these into use, you could perhaps be more organised and willingly to complete ‘that’ school work.

BACK TO BLAIR: SCHOOL IN TERMS OF STATIONARY?!?!

Hi guys,

THE BASICS

1 X PENCIL

2X BIC PENS

1X ERASER

1X SHAPERNER

1X 30CM FOLDING RULER

I’m not going to explain why I need them. Otherwise it would end up like this. I need a ruler to draw a straight line. This stuff is compulsory to take and it’s quite clear why I take them. Oh god that makes my sound so rude. I didn’t mean it in that way.

EXTRAS

1X TIP EX MOUSE

I used to have these all the time in Year 8 but in Year 9, I stopped taking them. I actually got this in a stationary bundle so I thought I would use them again in Year 10.

1X PACK OF FINELINERS

I never really seen the craze with fineliners as I just used normal ballpoint pens but in the different colours. They seem like a good idea for revision and have seen a lot of youtubers use them in revision videos so seeing as this year is a big academic year, I thought I would give them ago.

1X PACK OF 4 HIGHLIGHTERS

I always had highlighters in my pencil case for as long as I can remember. Call me a werido but I love colour coding my work. I think highlighters are useful in terms of definitions and important bits across the subjects. However, I get the most use out of them in English with annotating. In year 9, one of my favourite books for presentation would have to be English.

PENCIL CASE

In the past, I was always a bit of a clear pencil case kinda girl but this year, I thought I would jazz it up by buying a patterned pencil case.

POLKA DOT PENCIL CASE

Thanks for reading my post today. I hope you have enjoyed me talking through my stationary which I will be taking to school. Be sure to check out Waldorf Dreams and I will see you this time next Saturday.

You know you love me,

XOXO
